Hello @OssieINXS
Thank you for reaching out to the PayPal Sandbox Community.
Regarding your query about the PayPal Buttons and links, I would like to inform you that the button code cannot be altered or changed. The reason behind this is that the hosted button id is specific to an internal client id. Therefore, it is not possible to modify the client id that is provided.
However, if you wish to test this in the sandbox environment, you can recreate the button in your sandbox account. This will allow you to experiment with the button functionality and make any necessary adjustments without affecting your live account.
- Log into your sandbox account at https://sandbox.paypal.com
- Click on Pay & Get Paid
- Click on Pay Links and Buttons
- Fill in the details
- Customize the button
- Click Build It
- Paste the code or the link to your webpage for testing
You will need to recreate the button in live when you are ready to go live by logging into your live https://paypal.com account and creating the button.
Thank you,
Jennifer
