A few months ago I tried to link my bank account to my PayPal account and a few days after I got this email from PayPal:
To confirm your bank account, we tried to make 2 deposits into your M and T Bank X- account on Aug. 7, 2011.
The money was returned, however, because your bank does not recognize this bank account number.
To fix this problem:
Contact your bank to double-check the account number
Log in to PayPal and click Link bank account.
Enter your bank account number and follow the instructions.
I called the bank to double check my account number and tried to link it again but now all I get is this message:
"The account you entered would need additional review. Please link a different bank account. If you would still like to use this bank account, you may fax us a copy of the bank statement with the two amounts PayPal deposited in your bank account shown and a copy of your driver's license or other photo I.D. You must use this form for your fax cover sheet and send the fax."
This is a new bank account and was never used on PayPal before. I really need this problem fixed soon as I am starting my own business and am only waiting on this. Is there a way I can get this fixed without calling PayPal? My phone is disconnected and wouldn't be able to call. I emailed but it has not helped at all.
